CEC and SEC signed MOU in 2014 and officially established cooperation relations under the leadership of China-Singapore Joint Committee on Environmental Protection. They cooperate in areas such as environmental protection and environmental labelling. CEC President visited SEC in November of 2015. He and SEC leader had in-depth discussions on cooperation areas such as industrial parks and mutual recognition of environmental labelling and have reached common understanding.
