Tencent Digital Ecosystem Summit was held during November 3-4, 2021. It is an annual event with the highest level, largest scale and widest coverage in the internet field of Tencent Group. The Carbon Neutrality Special Session was held as one of the highlights of this summit and CEC provided support to the session.
At the special session, Ms. Xiaodan Zhang, General Manager of CEC with the representatives from government, research institutes, universities and enterprises discussed hot topics focusing on carbon peak and carbon neutrality such as transitional opportunities and challenges for enterprises, green and low carbon lifestyle based on science and technology, and good emission reduction practice etc.
At the meeting, CEC, Tencent and Hubei Carbon Emissions Trading Center signed a cooperation agreement to establish the “Public platform for digital and low carbon lifestyle”. Meanwhile, an online game “Carbon-Carbon Island” virtual zone was published, which teaches through lively activities and helps public understanding low carbon knowledge and experience the changes of the environment due to green  lifestyle.
CEC will continue its cooperation with internet enterprise by integrating green & low carbon practice with internet and digital technology to promote green and low-carbon transitional development.
