April 13th-15th, 2023, CEC was invited to participate in the 2023 China International Environmental Protection Exhibition.

To integrate the principles of green, low-carbon, energy efficiency and emission reduction into our exhibition booth design process, CEC used environmentally friendly and recyclable materials from construction to installation, as well as during exhibition removal and demolition. We have also calculated greenhouse gas emissions and carbon offset throughout the entire process, resulting in our achievement of being the first "zero-carbon booth" at this exhibition. Meanwhile, in order to further demonstrate the carbon neutrality of the large-scale event, CEC verified the greenhouse gas emissions and carbon offset sales generated by the "5th Conference on Innovation and Development of Ecological and Environmental Protection Industry" held concurrently with the exhibition, facilitating a "zero-carbon conference" achievement.

On the exhibition stand, CEC showcased accomplishments and exemplary cases in China Environmental Labelling product certification, carbon reduction, pollution control, green growth and other technical services related to environmental protection and sustainability. These efforts have contributed significantly towards preventing and controlling environmental pollution, conserving energy and reducing emissions while promoting sustainable production and consumption. Up to date, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has issued a total of 132 environmental labelling criteria, with 109 currently in effect. Over 7,000 enterprises have been certified and more than 2.08 million product specifications and models  have obtained China Environmental Labelling certification across various industries such as printing, furniture, building materials, textiles, electronics, automobiles, daily chemicals products as well as packaging. A green market with an annual output value exceeding 5 trillion yuan has been established. It offers a vast array of premium green environmental protection products to the market, enhances the supply capacity of eco-friendly goods in the market, supports China's green consumption policy implementation, and actively promotes low-carbon green production and lifestyle formation.

Applet for personal carbon footprint

In addition, the interactive applet for personal carbon footprint attracted numerous visitors to measure their personal carbon neutral emission data. It guides the public to pay attention to selecting green travel modes, and actively practice a green and low-carbon lifestyle. This has become a beautiful highlight of our booth.

Background of CIEPEC
The China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference (CIEPEC) was first held in 1986, sponsored by China Environmental Protection Industry Association. With the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and other departments and relevant organizations at home and abroad, after more than 30 years, the exhibition has been recognized by many domestic and international enterprises, and has become the premier platform for the communication and exhibition of China's environmental protection industry, serving as the preferred gateway for international enterprises seeking to enter the Chinese market.
